Are you feeling disconnected?

A few blog posts ago I wrote about feeling connected. Today I want to look at why we sometimes feel disconnected.

It is a word often used when discussing aftermath of covid. When we could go out and socialise I felt distant and found myself once at a dinner with my partners friends, just sitting and unable to do small talk. It was very lonely and uncomfortable experience.

What makes you feel disconnected?

Did you find it hard trying to reconnect with people face to face after covid?

I had the experience of people talking in front of me about having a get-together where I was not invited. I know one can’t have everyone but they discussed it in front of me, the younger me felt unpopular and rejected all over again.

So what does disconnected mean to you? Is there a better word?
