'I'm in Italy and in reflective mood.
The last six months I have been confined to barracks due to the weather and my son's study. Not that he appreciated the sacrifice, nor did I do it for his appreciation.
So this is about social media. Teenagers and millenials do it for the likes, the number of followers they get and those who are really savvy, make money out of it.
I am super sensitive at the moment. My depression has reared its ugly head.
And so I noticed a 'friend' of mine doesn't like my posts. I have become a proficient porcelain maker of vases, espresso cups and the like. Do I get a like? Heck, no...
I tell her I'm going to Italy. She one ups me by telling me, not only are they going, but she has already been to the region I have been to...
Her children are perfect and any imperfections in mine are due to poor discipline. Not said as such but implied in a discussion where she said French children are not neurodiverse (she lives in Quebec). My daughter is neurodiverse.
So tonight rather than moaning about her, I've unfriended her. I know this is passive aggressive but life is too short for mind games!
