Why didn’t I see it before?

Money is our power.

Generosity from a cheerful heart is our superpower.

I feel I should explain myself.

This last weekend was the start of a major fundraising week for my church. Sharing the keynote message fell to me. So, I did some research.

Do you know what the chances of you being born are? Spoiler alert.

1/400,000,000,000,000

That’s a USA ‘Trillion’.

Let’s go UK.

Do you know what the odds are of you winning the maximum UK lottery of £4,000,000?

If you buy one ticket, your odds are easy to calculate: 1 in 4,000,000.

Frankly, you’ve already won a far bigger lottery just by being here.

If you accept this, I have three thoughts for you.

The first is money is your power.

The second is that cheerful giving is your super-power.

The third I’ll save until later.

Let’s hear from a Poet and a President of the USA.

“Money is power, freedom, a cushion, the root of all evil, the sum of blessings.”

Carl Sandburg – American Poet, born January 6, 1878; died July 22, 1967.

Money is power, and in that government which pays all the public officers of the states will all political power be substantially concentrated.

Andrew Jackson - American - President March 15, 1767 - June 8, 1845.

If you have more money than your basic needs to survive, you have some bargaining power, some purchasing power, some negotiating power, some volitional power.

If you can cheerfully invest some of that excess in order to transform the lives of others, and can do this cheerfully, you have the super-power of ‘cheerful generosity’. This is an evolved state of being.

Watch this video to realise how powerfully you could give of yourself to transform someone else’s life. I laughed at the joke. I cried at the video. I fell in love with the authenticity of the message: https://youtu.be/75HjFi4_r10

What’s my third point. Points 1 and 2 is that money is your power; cheerful generosity is your super-power. Point 3 is that Moodscope transforms lives… maybe even saves lives. Use your power today to make a difference: https://www.moodscope.com/contribute/
