Do you tend to crash and burn when things take over, or can you see it off at the pass?
I’ve had a bit of a skiddy week, with all of my children staying at home at the same time, but on wildly different timetables. My youngest daughter also decided that this moment in time was the right time to move into her flat! She’s not done this before so she hadn’t quite realised how overwhelming and draining it is. And normal life runs on.
I’m paying close attention to myself because I have been batting challenges over the fence left, right and centre. And there lies my potential problem. How often do we sail along happily, upping our game to match the circumstances, just to crash harder than a paper glider from 1979, launched from the upstairs landing.
I am predicting that I could crash next week. So I need to take steps very soon to catch myself in advance. This is a good thing - I’ve noticed. Is this a new dawn? Can you catch yourself in advance?
Side note: If you fancy a wee tune today then ‘Into the Valley’ by the Skids is a Saturday morning clear-the-cobwebs tune (dance like nobody is watching) and has somehow been my ear worm this week. Hence the title.
