From autumn through winter the trousers are on. This is a right old pain for going swimming. Getting socks and shoes on in the little cubicle is such a palaver.
Most of us are cheered by the sight of spring flowers and the knowledge that brighter, warmer, longer days are on their way. But this morning I had a more tangible win from spring: I could go to the swimming pool in sandals. This means that I don’t have to struggle with socks, skinny jeans and shoes. In a few weeks I’ll be able to go to the pool in a dress and sandals. That’s the big win. It’s so much easier to get changed afterwards. It makes the whole swim experience more pleasurable.
What are your ‘tells’ that better things are on the way?
