Oops upside your head

How do you cope when you feel your life has been turned a little upside down? Do you fall apart? Or do you become calm in a crisis? A little under a year ago my life felt it had turned upside down and both of these things were true.

I’ve had painters here this week. Long overdue, great work, lovely people. There are just a few rooms that haven’t been affected in one way or another, and now we’re trying to live amongst the topsy turvy whilst not being able to put things back, as everything is now stoory and needs cleaned.

It unsettled my youngest daughter, who is at a critical part of her term, and her head melted trying to cope through the disruption (reliable routine is needed for her). She has imploded, resulting in the odd explode.

But all said, it’s been really good for me. The feeling of starting afresh is strong. I’ll move from here in a few years I think and this complete upheaval has helped a little with the feeling of being stuck that I had last blog.

Funny how things change, and that the biggest disruptions can be both dreaded and celebrated.

Wishing you a settled Saturday.
