How do you comfort yourself? I was in physical discomfort the other day and ‘caught’ myself stroking my legs in an effort to feel better. Since the legs weren’t the issue, I realised I must be self-soothing.
Dad taps on the table-top. His Mother used to clap and sing gently to herself… particularly moving since she was blind and this really seemed to comfort her. I sing to myself most of the time.
