Words of my year

At this time of the year different dictionaries and other organisations put out their word of the year.

I often don’t relate to the word of the year and thought it would be interesting to see what other Moodscopers thought of words they used or heard frequently during the year.

For me the first words that came to me were: tired, exhausted, rundown, overwhelmed. I would say often my brain is overloaded.

The Oxford dictionary chose the words ‘brain rot’ as it is used often by many people. I also used and heard memory, forgetful, brain fog, slow brain and brain not working.

I am hoping Moodscopers will share their own words, maybe words they have made up or they have used a lot or they like.

Asking friends and family they told me the words they used were aches, aching all over, sleep deprived, connection, authentic, gaslighting, empathy, ignoring, awkward and many more.

I think words we use a lot reflect on ourselves, our interests and our year.

I would like you to share your words of your year and explain if you like the significance of them to you.
