As I write it is 35 degrees in the landlocked so-called Heart of England. I never sleep well at the best of times, so the heat combined with insomnia and my own natural inclination to be easily irritated has kept my mind busy with uncharitable thoughts. Nasty Val has come out to play.
This is just selection of things that have caused me to wish ill on others.
The single bed mattress that has appeared at the bin collection area for our row of houses.
The huge box with lots of paper padding containing a small plastic pot of pills for the dogs.
Having to spring up and down in Waitrose to get stuff from the freezer top shelf. I know,I know.
The people who are using the litter bins outside the corner shop and on the common to dump their household garbage, leaving no room for the beer cans and poo bags.
Seeing "Password not recognised" when I know I have entered it correctly.
Childproof tops that require a body-builder to open them.
The idiots on mopeds/motor bikes who have tuned them to make the most awful racket as they cruise up and down.
Women who are showing far too much flesh in the town. I am thinking of the girl spotted yesterday in t-shirt and knickers (not hot pants or even bikini bottoms, cotton knickers) in the shops.
Boots pharmacy who seem to put more and more things behind the counter, to be monitored by the staff. A cream with a teeny bit of steroid in it for heat rash. What do I want it for? Mind your own business!
The shambles that is HMRC.
Getting out of the way, even stepping into the road, to allow mobility scooters, massive baby buggies etc.to pass, and not even a smile of thanks.
Being pestered for feedback on the most trivial purchases e.g herbal Tea bags from H&B.
People paying for their purchases on their mobile, who refuse to admit defeat and get out their wallet, while we all stand there.
This is just a sample of what makes me harbour deeply uncharitable thoughts about my fellow humans. I know that deep down you have nasty reactions too, so this is your chance to let rip Moodscopers. Don't let me down.
